 *JUN 6 - 1 JOHN 2:18-29 - PURPOSE OF THE ANOINTING*


 *1. 2:18 (NNT) ANTICHRIST: FALSE ANOINTING. “Little children, it is
thelast hour: and as you heard that antichrist comes, even now have
many
antichrists arisen: whereby we know that it is the last hour.” *Satan seems
invariably to abort what God is about to do, by first bringing forth a
counterfeit anointing. All through this church age he has been at work,
especially as the age draws to a close. Nevertheless - Your *true*
Kingdom *shall
come* to full manifestation, Father! *Hallowed be your :name!*


 *2. 2:19 DEPARTING ONES: BECAUSE OF NO ANOINTING. “They went out from us,
but were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued
with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that not all
are of us.” *Judas exemplified this, and Ahithophel. Even Joab forsook
David’s ways at the end. But Peter remained true to the end. *Your :kingdom
come!*


 *3. 2:20-21 KNOWLEDGE OF ALL THINGS: BECAUSE OF ANOINTING. “And you have
an anointing from the Holy One, you all know 21 - I have not written to you
because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie
is of the truth.” *Thank You Father, because of the Holy Spirit anointing
through Christ. *Your :will be done, As in heaven, so on earth.*


 *4. 2:22-23 ANTICHRIST: DENIAL OF JESUS AS THE ANOINTED ONE. “Who is the
liar but who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist,
evenwho denies the Father and the Son. 23
Whoever denies the Son, has not the Father either; who confesses the Son
has the Father also.” *Write these words deep on our hearts, Father! O
forgive us, that we are prone to wander! *Our :daily :bread Give us this
day.*


 *5. 2:24-25 ABIDING IN JESUS: CONDITIONAL UPON ABIDING IN ANOINTING. “Let
what YOU heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from
thebeginning abide in you, YOU also shall abide in the Son, and in the
Father. 25
And this is the promise which himself promised us, the life :eternal.” *To
abide in the Holy Spirit, is to abide in the Son and the Father. Can we
perceive this? Is this crystal clear? Father, strengthen us that we fail
now when tempted to fall from this truth. *And forgive us our :debts, As we
also have forgiven our :debtors!*


 *6. 2:27 (2:26-28) INNER UNDERSTANDING: COMES THROUGH ANOINTING. “And the
anointing which YOU received of him abides in you, and you have no need
that one teach you; but as his :anointing teaches you concerning all things,
and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, abide in him.” *The
Holy Spirit anointing constantly teaches us concerning John 15:1-16: WE are
the branches; CHRIST ONLY is the Vine! J. Hudson Taylor was transformed by
this truth. *And bring us not into temptation.*


 *7. 2 29 DOERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS: BORN FROM THE ANOINTING. “If you know
that he is righteous, know that every one that does :righteousness is
begotten of him.” **Doing righteousness*: proof of the new birth! This is
the *first* fruit of Your Kingdom, Father! *But deliver us from the evil
one!*


 *NOTE**: **2:28 (2:26-28) THE REWARD OF ABIDING! “And now, little
children, abide in him; that, if he be manifested, we may have boldness,
and be not shamed from him at his presence.” *Christ abides *in* us today,
but shall be *manifested openly* tomorrow!


 These 12 verses of 1 John are set apart by Bible Numerics - not just as a
paragraph - *but* a chapter equivalent. This means, that the Holy Spirit
wants us to take note of this section in a *special way*. He has set forth
this lesson on the “anointing”, that we should *not* miss it!


 God allowed Russian Ivan Panin to discover 2 unique truths about the New
Testament through Bible Numerics: first that through it we now have a Greek
text *the same as* the original - with *no* alternate readings. That makes
the English translation of it absolutely unique.


 And secondly, the sentence, sub-paragraph, paragraph and section format -
means that by summarizing and outlining each sentence - and gathering these
summaries into sub-paragraphs; these into paragraphs; these into sections;
and these into books - *then* we have a birds-eye picture of each of the 27
New Testament books that is absolutely unique.


 The section before us today is an example of this revelation that points
up the value of this second discovery.


 And why should the Holy Spirit through Peter place such a special emphasis
upon the Holy Spirit anointing? Because God wants us as believers to see
this truth from a “heavenly perspective”. Each of the 7 divisions above
illuminates a separate aspect of the importance of the Holy Spirit
anointing.


 It is when we kneel and pray over and *meditate upon* this section, that
the Holy Spirit will open our spiritual eyes to perceive and understand -
and then move upon the desire of our heart to *walk in* these new
perceptions.


 And when we use the “*Outlined* Interlinear New Testament made possible by
Panin’s discoveries, then we find it yet more simple to apprehend that for
which by God we are apprehended!
