“LIBERTY AND THE STANDARDS OF JESUS”

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free.” Galatians 5:1

A spiritually-minded person will never come to you with the demand – “Believe that and that”; a spiritually-minded person will demand that you align your life with the standards of Jesus. We are not asked to believe the Bible, but to believe the One whom the Bible reveals (see John 5:39-40). We are called to present liberty for the conscience of others, not to bring them liberty for their thoughts and opinions. And if we ourselves are free with the liberty of Christ, others will be brought into that same liberty – the liberty that comes from realizing the absolute control and authority of Jesus Christ.

Always measure your life solely by the standards of Jesus. Submit yourself to His yoke, and His alone; and always be careful never to place a yoke on others that is not of Jesus Christ. It takes God a long time to get us to stop thinking that unless everyone sees things exactly as we do, they must be wrong. That is never God’s view. There is only one true liberty – the liberty of Jesus at work in our conscience enabling us to do what is right.

Don’t get impatient with others. Remember how God dealt with you – with patience and with gentleness. But never water down the truth of God. Let it have its way and never apologize for it. Jesus said, “Go … and make disciples”… (Matthew 28:19), not, “Make converts to your own thoughts and opinions.”

NOTE: A Word from the Lord came to me during the night – “The Old Covenant coveredsins uner the Mosaic Covenant – but Jesus takes away sins. He is the New Covenant: Betterthan angels, Moses, Old Covenant, etc. etc.

Wanabe Gentiles are follish– They don’t see the “One New Man” of Jew and Gentile. Se need to see the Day of Atonement and the 2 goats: oneto coversins for another year – and the other: The “Scape Goat” to take away sins, as a type of Jesus to come!

Then hear Moses: He prophesied of a prophet to come like unto him, but better! We are to obey Him in all things. Moses gave a covenant to coversins – but He is a Covenant to take away sins.

Then look at 1 John and the 5 smooth stones of C.T. Studd (actually 6 – he missed one!) Here we see 6 proofsof the New Birth. But first consider Jesus and Nicodemus. Jesus challenged him: “You mustbe born again!” John the Baptist is a transitional ministry between the two covnants.

Paul in Acts 19 said, John indeed baptized with a baptism for remission of sins looking forward to Jesus. But Baptism in Jesus’ Name fulfilled the second point of the “Peter Package” of Acts 2:38 – and leads into the Giftof the Holy Spirit that Jesus explains to the Samaritan woman in John 4.

James through Jude are 7 transitional epistles for Jewish believers especially, but also an application and a blessing for Gentile believers. Peter was the apostle to the circumcision (Jews). Paul: to the uncircumcision– us Gentiles! Romans laid the foundationalunderstanding for Gentile believers. The book of Hebrews does the same thing especially for Jewish Believers. It is a step aove, doctrinally speaking, from the “General Epistles” of James throughJude. According to the Numeric Phinomenon uncovered by Ivan Panin, Paul is indeed the author of Hebrews, making him the author of 14 of the New Testament epistles.

1 John is especially, with Pilippians 4:8, related to the tribe of Judah. Jesusis the LION of the Tribe of Judah. Remember the chorus –

The Lion of Judah – He breaks every chain,

And gives to us the victory – again and again.

The Lion of Judah – He breaks every chain.

And gives to us the victory

Again – and again!

The four Gospels can be associated with the four heads of the Cherubim in Ezekiel chapter 1:

Matthew portrays Jesus as the Lion-King!

He is King of Judah, of Israel.

Mark portrays Him as the ox, the servant.

He came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,

And to give His life a Ransom for man.

Luke portrays Him as the man.

Pilate said, “Behold the Man!”

And Jesus loved to call Himself “The Son of Man.”

John portrays Jesus as the Eagle– the Son of God!

And He wouod make of us – “Eagle Saints.”

Let us letHim do so!

Jesus in perfect balance portrayed the characteristics of all 4 Gospels and all 4 of Ezekiel’s heads. Joseph came most closely to portraying Jesus in “type” in this 4-fold manner.

Then Jesus divides Himself up into each one of us as fellow members of His Body. Each one of us, in a portion, inherit a part of what Jesus is. We all have parts of Him in part, but one of the Gospels, one of the Ezekiel heads – predominates! The second part He give each of us is lesser, but determines which of the 12 tribes of Israel we most closelyappoximate. The 3^rdGospel then determines for what kindof a tribe we approximate. Are we a Judah with a “Mark-ox” spirit, or a “Luke-man

The reason for the above challenges is because of the night vision that came to me last night.

The Lord is concerned that many non[Jewish Messianic believers are becoming switched, and forget the realreason for discovering their Jewish Roots. It is notto become “Wanabe” Jews! Some read Paul’s words that a true Jew is one of the “heart” – not of the flesh. That is true. But Paul is nothere saying that Gentiles circumcised in the heart are now Jews! Test: Let such a one go to Israel and tell the government they would like to become a citizen of Israel because they are nowcircumcised in heart, and “feel” they are now Jews!

“Go hom,” they weill be told, and smarten up. Fond documentation in genealogies to prove your point – or else stop day-dreaming.”

We have respected Messianic Gentile friends who have attended Messianic Jewish Congregations – and then coverted to become Orthodox Jews! How foolish! How full of deception and delusion.

Barnum and Bailey, the circus-entertainers said – “There’s one born every minute.” What? – “A sucker!” We must not be naïve, but sober and sensible, using our renewed minds. Get Casey Treat’s teaching on the “Renewed Mind” to understand clearly what God thinks on this subject.
