 *FEB 12 - EXODUS 35:1-39:31 - THE TABERNACLE: ITS COMPLETION*


 *1. 35:4b-5 (35:1-9) TABERNACLE: ITS SABBATH AND OFFERINGS. “This is the
thing that the LORD has commanded. 5 Take from among you a contribution to
the LORD. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the LORD'S
contribution: gold, silver, and bronze.” *God loves a cheerful giver - Give
it all you've got. He loves to hear you laughing, When you're in an awkward
spot. When the odds add up against you, It's time to shout and sing. Praise
God! To praise Him is a *joyous* thing! (From the Medical Sisters). *Hallowed
be your :name!*


 *2. 35:29 (35:10-35) TABERNACLE: BEZALEL AND AHOLIAB. “All the men and
women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for
the work that the LORD had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a
freewill offering to the LORD.” *It is Your will Father, that we have *willing
hearts*, and *joyful*, in what we do for You! *Your :kingdom come!*


 *3. 36:6-7 (36) TABERNACLE: ITS CURTAINS AND BOARDS. So Moses gave command,
and word was proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do
anything more for the contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were
restrained from bringing, 7 for the material they had was sufficient to do
all the work, and more. *What a marvelous grace of giving! Imagine needing
to be restrained from giving! *Your :will be done, As in heaven, so on
earth.*


 *4. 37:7, 9 (37) TABERNACLE: ITS FURNITURE IN BOTH ROOMS. “And he made two
cherubim of gold. He made them of hammered work on the two ends of the mercy
seat. 9 The cherubim spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy
seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy
seat were the faces of the cherubim.” *The cherubim always saw the blood of
the Covenant on the mercy seat. It represented the Covenant You and the Son
made with each other on our behalf, Father. Unfortunately we too often but
dimly see and understand this gift! *Our :daily :bread Give us this day!*


 *5. 38:8 (38:1-8) TABERNACLE: THE ALTAR AND LAVER. “He made the basin of
bronze and its stand of bronze, from the mirrors of the ministering women
who ministered in the entrance of the tent of meeting.” *Here we as a
Kingdom of priests see whether our walk and works are pure before You,
Father! O refine us, Great Messenger of the Covenant, as silver and gold! *And
forgive us our :debts, As we also have forgiven our :debtors!*


 *6. 38:22-23a (38:9-31) TABERNACLE: THE OUTER COURT. “Bezalel the son of
Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded
Moses; 23 and with him was Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of
Dan.” *This work was like the wall and gates of Jerusalem restored by
Nehemiah, which caused the enemies of the LORD to be greatly cast down! *And
lead us not into temptation.*


 *7. 39:30-31 (39:1-31) TABERNACLE: THE PRIESTLY GARMENTS. “They made the
plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription, like
the engraving of a signet, 'Holy to the LORD.' 31 And they tied to it a cord
of blue to fasten it on the turban above, as the LORD had commanded Moses.”
*Holiness on our mind must be the first wave before the second wave of Your
Kingdom rolls in, Father! *But deliver us from the evil one!*


 *NOTE**: 39:14 (39:1-31) TABERNACLE: ITS 12 STONES FOR ISRAEL'S 12 TRIBES.
“There were twelve stones with their names according to the names of the
sons of Israel. They were like signets, each engraved with its name, for the
twelve tribes.” *Now see a practical application of this truth!


 In 1969 the father of Pastor Jack Hayford was reading this portion of
Scriptures for his morning devotions, when the Spirit spoke to his spirit,
“My son, if you will take Judah's name off the red sardius stone and replace
it with your Clan Name 'Hayford'; and if you'll take Issachar's name off the
yellow topaz and replace it with your wife's maiden name of 'Smith'; and if
you will agree in prayer together twice a day for your two Clans - I will
make an effective witness to every Hayford and Smith Clan member throughout
the world - and those of open heart who I have appointed to eternal life
(Acts 13:48) - *will believe*!”


 Within the next six months 4 Hayfords and two Smiths came to the Lord, none
of the six previously being known to Pastor Jack Hayford's two parents! The
first one came to Oakland, California where his father lived, and on impulse
(?) phoned Jack Hayford's father as the first one listed in the phone book -
to see if perchance they were related. After some 30 minutes checking - sure
enough - they found they were 4th or 5th cousins! Then Pastor Hayford's
father asked - “By chance have you been born of the Spirit? Are you in God's
Kingdom?” His reply - “It's odd you should ask that! Within the last six
months I have had an unexpected encounter with God - and yes - I opened my
heart to receive His Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior!”


 Following these six, the Hayfords had no other indication of answered
prayer in this direction. When queried, God reminded the father that in 2
Corinthians 13:2 - *as in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses every word is
confirmed *- “I have given 6 witnesses! How can you walk by faith if I
continue to give you witnesses? You and your wife remain faithful, and when
you get to heaven, you will *see* what I have done!”


 The parents for the next 10 years twice daily faithfully prayed together
for both Household (Acts 16:31) and *Clan Salvation*. Then Mr. Hayford Sr.
had his Home-call in 1979. For the next 3 years Pastor Hayford's mother
continued this challenge alone, and in June of 1982 shared with her pastor
son what God had led his father and her to do. “Mother”, why didn't dad tell
me of this challenge?” “O, you know your father son - if God led a layman in
such a challenge - how much more would every pastor know of this opportunity
and privilege? Why waste your time, son?”


 Pastor Jack had not previously heard of such a challenge! He immediately
researched the Scriptures, and discovered that Clan Salvation was every bit
as scriptural as Household Salvation. He then resolved that whenever he was
invited to preach a one-service stand - unless the host pastor or God led
him to preach otherwise, he would always preach on “Clan Salvation”.


 On the first Wednesday of August 1982 he shared this at the First Baptist
church of Arcata, California where I was serving in my 6th year as Associate
Pastor. The next morning as Marie and I knelt in prayer, I prayed for the
Watt Clan, the Gaudet clan (Marie's maiden name); the Chartrand clan
(Marie's maternal grandfather's name) and the Mosher clan (My mother's
maiden name). Within 18 months God opened the door to the Lacert Clan
(Marie's maternal grandmother's clan name) - and 18 months later the
Chartrands - and in 1996 led her to discover her lost 75 year old half
brother - Gerard Gaudet! We know of over 40 of our Household and Clans who
have come to the Lord!


 That month I read in the San Francisco Chronicle that 500 Chinese in that
city of the “Hu” Clan - met annually to celebrate their clan. *But* on
mainland China there were 60 million of the Hu Clan! “O God”, I prayed,
“please lead me to a 'Hu' to lead to the Lord, and start him praying for his
60 million clan members!” Within a short while I was preaching in the
University area of Vancouver BC. At the close of the service, a Chinese lady
came and informed me - “My name is Monica Hu - and this morning I started to
pray for my 60 million Chinese Clan members!


 Marie and I have seen over 3000 come to the Lord through preaching
Household Salvation - and have no idea how many clan members we will meet in
heaven because of Pastor Jack Hayford's challenge through his father. Will
