- A PRAYER REQUEST - Jim Watt</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="CENTER"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>My
“Care doctor” at our local Federal Way clinic - felt I should see
a specialist at the Tacoma Group Health Hospital, which I did at the
beginning of this month. He discovered tumors in the bladder - quite
possibly cancerous, and has set up surgery for Thursday May 2<sup>nd</sup>.</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>However
- in the mid 1990’s, Marie and I had prayer meetings in our home
each Wednesday for 5 couples for 18 months. A Jewish husband of one
of the couples on one occasion asked prayer for his wife, who was
scheduled for surgery the following Monday for mastectomy. They felt
the Lord wanted first try at it, so we anointed her with oil and
prayed for her, aware of the presence of the Lord. That Monday the
hospital took a pre-operative x-ray, and discovered no cancer. They
knew the x-ray was wrong, so took 10 more! They finally acknowledged
that the first x-ray must have been accurate, and had to discharge
her without an operation!</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>Marie
and I have experienced this - many times in the past with our family
and loved ones. In 1944, just after the Lord revealed Himself to me,
I was swimming in one of the Vancouver Island lakes, and suddenly
realized I had lost my glasses in some 20-30 feet of water -
somewhere along the last mile of our swimming. When we arrived at our
cabin, my pastor friend prayed for me. I hadn’t sensed anything, so
when back at my naval ship - went to the hospital and had my glasses
replaced. When I couldn’t see out of them properly, they checked my
eyes, and discovered I now had 20/20 vision, though I had been forced
to wear glasses since I was 4 years old.</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>Three
years ago Marie experienced extremely severe headaches. Her
care-doctor at Group Health took down all her symptoms, and in 30
minutes after feeding this information into the computer, came up
with a diagnosis of “Temporal Arteritis” - which is inflammation
of the left side temple artery. Prednisone is the only medication
that controls this, and prevents blindness. It has however a number
of very severe side-effects. This knocked Marie out of commission for
over a year. But we put out a prayer challenge to a number of friends
and intercessors. God has so remarkably answered prayer that she is
off all these harmful medications - is swimming 3 days a week for
just under an hour - is on a very healthy diet, and has lost 60
pounds. Our son Jim and son-in-law Garl share this testimony with
amazement. Marie sustained similar severe attacks several decades
ago, but at that time 8 specialists were unable to perform the
diagnosis that is available today through computers.</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>These
are just two of the many times we have experienced God’s gracious
hand on us.</b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b>Derek
Prince from England, who died in 2003 at 88, experienced a remarkable
healing in Egypt as a World War II soldier. God gave him proverbs
4:20-22, which he called “God’s Medicine Bottle.” Here’s the
passage: “My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my
sayings. <font style="font-size:8pt" size="1">21 </font>Let them not
escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. <font style="font-size:8pt" size="1">22
</font>For they are <u>life</u><span style="text-decoration:none">
to those who find them, and </span><u>healing</u><span style="text-decoration:none">
(medicine) to all their flesh (body).” Here are 4 directives, plus
2 promises. 3 times a day after meals Derek read the </span><u>word</u><span style="text-decoration:none">
and meditated upon it as his medicine, and after over a year of
serious foot problems that 4 hospitals were unable to help - yet in a
few months of God, he was discharged from hospital. We are using
God’s Medicine Bottle too, with many joining us.</span></b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in;text-decoration:none" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b><span style="text-decoration:none">So
as many of you will join us, this will give God His opportunity for
“The Exchanged Miracle at the Cross.” See Isaiah 53:5 - “</span><span style="text-decoration:none">He
was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and </span><u>b</u><u>y</u><u>
His stripes we are healed</u><span style="text-decoration:none">.”
Jesus was wounded </span><u>that we might be healed</u><span style="text-decoration:none">.
“Thank you, Jesus, for Your work on the cross. I proclaim that for
me to be thoroughly saved is to be perfectly healed and that Jesus
was wounded that I might be healed. Amen.”</span></b></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in;text-decoration:none" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top:0.01in;margin-bottom:0in" align="LEFT"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font style="font-size:11pt"><b><span style="text-decoration:none">There
were times that out of the 1000’s who were healed through Derek’s
ministry, yet there were also times when some worthy saints still
went through surgery. He could never explain this - but he felt we
still should always offer to all Christians the above “Cross
Exchange”, and without any condemnation or pressure, thank God for
faithful surgeons who God also provide</span><span style="text-decoration:none">d</span><span style="text-decoration:none">.
Marie and I have also experienced this latter, as well as the former.
Jesus also prayed for healing and demon deliverance for many who were
not yet believers. Some of these believed </span><span style="text-decoration:none">upon
being healed and delivered</span><span style="text-decoration:none">,
some did not.</span></b></font></font></p>

Marie and I turn 90 this summer, so we are not “spring chickens!”
We are at perfect peace with the provision and faithfulness of God,
and know we can count on your concern and prayers.</b></font></font></p>
