<b>1.  Matthew 5:11-12 (5:1-12)  THE REWARD FOR REPROACH AND
PERSECUTION.  “Blessed are you when <i>men</i><span style="font-style:normal">
shall reproach you and persecute, and say all </span><i>manner</i><span style="font-style:normal">
</span><i>of</i><span style="font-style:normal"> evil against you
falsely for my sake. </span><font style="font-size:8pt" size="1"><span style="font-style:normal">12</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad, for great is your </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>:reward</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
in the heavens: for so persecuted they the prophets :before you.”

in no wise desires us to miss the significance of this passage. It is
the last and eighth of the Beatitudes given by Jesus close to the
beginning of His ministry. Again, the law of first reference causes
this passage to stand forth! The 7</span></span></font><sup><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">th</span></span></font></sup><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
Beatitude commends those persecuted because of righteousness sake.
But the </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">eighth</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
commends us for being persecuted because we have openly and clearly
identified ourselves with Jesus Himself. </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">Great</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
reward in the heavens is God&#39;s evaluation of such identification on
our part.</span></span></font></p>

Who receives a prophet unto a prophet&#39;s name shall receive a

how carefully Jesus regards what we do for fellow believers, for His
ministers - even for new converts and very young child converts. He
who notices the falling of sparrows - notices what we do for fellow
members of the body of  Christ, and </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">rewards</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
us accordingly.</span></span></font></p>

 Luke 6:34-35 (6:24-38)  GREAT REWARD FOR LOVING ENEMIES.  “And if
you lend to them of whom you hope to receive, what thank have you?
even the sinners do the same, to receive the like again. </span></font><font style="font-size:8pt" size="1"><span style="font-style:normal">35</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
But love your :enemies, and do good, and lend, never despairing; and
your :</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>reward</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
shall be great, and you shall be sons of </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><i>the</i></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">

here is a greater test! Would we be like our Heavenly Father who
sends His rain on the just and unjust alike, and </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">also</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
show this attitude to </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">our</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
enemies? And what to those of other color and race and culture? Brown
and yellow, black and white - </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">all</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the
world. May they be in ours also.</span></span></font></p>

 2 John 8-9 (4-11)  REWARD BASED ON CONTINUING FAITHFULNESS.  “Look
to yourselves, that you lose not what </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><i>things</i></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
we have wrought, but that you receive a full </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>reward</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">.

Whoever goes onward and abides not in the teaching of the Christ, has

of us have received from others. Some have led us to Christ. Some
have discipled us. These all are pulling for us that we endure to the
end. There is reward for us in our faithful continuance. See the
parable of the 4 soils - Jesus&#39; </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">Key</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
Parable. Three quarters of all who start out fall away. And - those
who make it are on three levels.</span></span></font></p>

 1 Corinthians 3:8 (3:3-9)  PARTICULAR REWARD FOR PARTICULAR SERVICE.
 “Now who plants and who waters are one: but each shall receive his
own :</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>reward</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
according to his own :toil.”  </span></font></b><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">Here
is a thought for Ministers. </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">Faithfulness</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
in our separate and distinctive callings is the key.</span></span></font></p>

 1 Timothy 5:17-18 (5:17-25)  REWARD OR HIRE: BASED ON FAITHFUL AND
COMPETENT SERVICE.  “Let the elders ruling well be counted worthy
of double honor, specially those who toil in </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><i>the
</i></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">word
and teaching. </span></font><font style="font-size:8pt" size="1"><span style="font-style:normal">18</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
For the scripture says, You shall not muzzle the ox when treading out
</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><i>corn</i></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">.
And, The laborer </span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><i>is</i></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
worthy of his :</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>hire</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">.”

Honor has the sense of remunerative reward. See God&#39;s rule for the
tribe of Levi. He was the smallest of the tribes of Israel, but the
12 tribes each gave a tithe to Levi! Twelve-tenths from 12 larger
tribes! And then Levi tithed to the “</span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">Priests</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">,”
again, a far smaller portion of the smallest tribe. See the analogy
Paul uses here, drawing from the Old Testament, concerning the ox.</span></span></font></p>

 Revelation 22:11-12 (22:10-15)  REWARD: ALSO BASED ON RIGHTEOUS
LIVING.   “Who is unrighteous, let him be unrighteous still: and
who is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and who is righteous,
let him do righteousness still: and who is holy, let him be made holy
still. </span></font><font style="font-size:8pt" size="1"><span style="font-style:normal">12</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">
Lo, I come speedily; and my :</span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u>reward</u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal">

here is the closing thought on </span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">reward</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="font-weight:normal">
from the above seven selections. Jesus is speaking directly, not
through His apostles. He clearly spells out the distinction as He
sees it between the righteous and the unrighteous. And He clearly
states what He will soon do at His Second Coming in regard to reward
- based accurately on our deeds done down here in the flesh. See what
this revelation did to William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army,
once he saw the above truths. “Is This Your Life” is a pamphlet
written by Ray Johnson of “Life Messengers” on Booth&#39;s vision.</span></span></font></p>

is where saints appear following the resurrection of  the first-born,

own</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-weight:normal">
ideas. They did </span></span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">their
thing</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-weight:normal">
for the Lord, rather than </span></span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">His

They will be saved, though as by fire. Gold, silver and precious
stones are those works inspired by the Holy Spirit for us to do for
God, Evangelism and Fellow-saints. We are no longer our own, but </span></span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">His</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-weight:normal">.
We have truly been discipled, and the Judgment Seat will manifest the
difference between these two types of believers. Hear the following

let the Lord live this out through our lives by His Spirit - will

How  selfish! Is </span></span></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><u><span style="font-weight:normal">this</span></u></span></font><font style="font-size:11pt" size="2"><span style="font-style:normal"><span style="text-decoration:none"><span style="font-weight:normal">
all we care about Jesus, and what He has done for us in purchasing
Redemption and Reconciliation? Our works led by the Holy Spirit is 
our way of saying “Thanks” to Him for the incredible Passion of
The Christ at Calvary on our behalf! For understanding this, and
producing through the Spirit works of gold, silver and precious
stones, we receive reward. But - we want this merely to be a
reflection of the love and thanksgiving we bear to Him!</span></span></span></font></p>
