21 - JOHN 2:12-3:21 - JESUS: NEW BIRTH AND ITS NECESSITY</b></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;" align="LEFT"><b>1.
2:12 JESUS AND HIS FAMILY. “After this he went down to Capernaum,
he, and his :mother, and the brethren, and his :disciples; and there
they abode not many days” (NNT). </b><span style="">Soon
Jesus' family forsook Him, leaving Him with the 12 alone. Those who
hear God's word and </span><u><span style="">do</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
it, </span></span><u><span style="">these</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
are Jesus' true family, because they are built on a rock. Father, we
honor Your Son, and Your Word through Him. </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Hallowed
be your :name!</span></i></b></p>

<b><span style="text-decoration: none;">2. 2:16-17 (2:13-17) JESUS
PURGES THE TEMPLE. And to the :dove-sellers he said, “Take these
hence; make not the house of my :Father a house of merchandise. </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">17</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
His :disciples remembered that it is written, 'The zeal for your
:house is devouring me.'” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Jesus
cleansed His Father's house twice. But we are Your true inner temple,
Father! We submit to the cleansing of Your Son! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:kingdom come!</span></i></font></b></p>

2:21-22 (2:18-22) JESUS: ASKED FOR A SIGN. “But HE spoke of the
sanctuary of his :body. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">22</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
When therefore he was raised from </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
dead, his :disciples remembered that he said this, and believed the
scripture, and the word which :Jesus had said.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">When
You raised Jesus from the dead Father, it was a sign that cannot be
spoken against to this day. How powerful You are, Father! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:will be done, As in heaven, so on earth.</span></i></font></b></p>

2:24-25 (2:23-25) JESUS: MAKES BELIEVERS. “But Jesus himself did
not trust himself to them, for that he knew all </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">men</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">,
</span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">25</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
and because he had no need that any </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">one</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
bear witness concerning :man; for himself knew what was in :man.”

in Christ Father, revealed unto Him all He needed to know. And You
were in Him in Your fullness; we only have You and Christ in us in
measure. O forgive us that we do not extol, praise and worship You
more than we do! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Our
:daily :bread Give us this day!</span></i></font></b></p>

3:5 (3:1-8) JESUS AND NICODEMUS. Jesus answered, “Amen, Amen, I
say unto you, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter
into the kingdom of :God.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Apart
from a genuine birth of the Spirit, Your Kingdom Father, is a mystery
to us. But once we are born from above, we see and enter, and cease
to doubt the reality of these great truths! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
forgive us our :debts, As we also have forgiven our :debtors.</span></i></font></b></p>

3:11-12 (3:9-15) JESUS' ATONEMENT: BASIS OF SALVATION! “Amen,
Amen, I say unto you [that], We speak what we know, and witness what
we have seen; and you receive not our :witness. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">12</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
If I told you he earthly </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">things</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
and you believe not, how shall you believe if I tell you :heavenly?”
</span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Jesus'
true being, and His true relationship to You Father, are heavenly
things only seen by the new birth. And You long to reveal these
truths unto us. </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
bring us not into temptation!</span></i></font></b></p>

3:16 (3:16-21) JESUS: DIED FOR THE WORLD. “For :God so loved the
world, that he gave his :only begotten :Son, that whoever believes
unto him perish not, but have eternal life.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">This
was Your purpose in Jesus Father, to reconcile the world to Yourself.
He was born to die. He made an atonement, and a redemption, and a
propitiation that was acceptable to you. </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">But
deliver us from the evil</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
one!</span></font></b></p>

3:17 (3:16-21) JESUS: SENT FIRST TIME AS SAVIOR. “For :God sent
not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world be
saved through him.” </b></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Father,
we bless You for Your purposes fulfilled through Jesus, Your only
begotten Son. We honor Him and You, that in Him all the fullness of
the Godhead dwells bodily!</span></span></font></p>

first coming of Jesus 2000 years ago was to become our Savior through
His Atoning death! His second coming will be as Judge! and King of
kings and Lord of lords!</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Old
Testament prophets did not see this 2000 year time-lapse for the
church, the One New Man - composed of a remnant of Jews and then us
Gentiles. This was a </span></span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="">mystery</span></font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!
God chose Paul to be the apostle for the Gentiles, and many of the 27
NT mysteries were revealed to him in his 3-year time in the desert
following his conversion on the Damascus road.</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">For many of us, John 3:16 is a
key verse in the whole Bible. It is usually the first one memorized.
We may not understand the fullness of its meaning, but we do
appreciate the new life in the Kingdom into which it introduces us.
It is the verse that brought D.L. Moody into the Kingdom of God.</font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Most
of us probably see “eternal life” as the promise of heaven.
Actually, it is a promise for the </span></span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="">now</span></font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">,
not the future. For “eternal life” is the life of the Holy Spirit
which comes to us as part of the Peter Package in Acts 2:38. It is
the very “heredity” of Jesus - which He shares with each member
of His spiritual body, the Church, the One New Man!</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">As we meditate upon these
truths, and ponder over them - God is pleased to open to our
understanding many of the deep “mysteries” of the Kingdom of God,
which prophets of old desired to look into - but which were reserved
to be understood by those of us living in these latter days.

alone. George Muller realized the truthfulness of this word, and by
