19 - MARK 14:1-16:8 - CRUCIFIXION AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS</b></p>

14:9 (14:1-11) JESUS: HIS PASSOVER ANOINTING. “And amen I say
unto you, Wherever the gospel shall be preached throughout the whole
world, what also this <i>woman</i><span style="font-style: normal;">
has done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her” (NNT). </span></b><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">This
is an amazing revelation Father, and it behooves us to ponder it well
and clearly understand what Your Son Jesus is really saying. The
Gospel of Your Kingdom cuts across man's thinking and tradition.

<b>2. 14:23-24 (14:12-31) JESUS: PASSOVER BECOMES COVENANT SUPPER.
“And he took a cup, <i>and</i> when he had given thanks, he gave to
them: and all drank of it. <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">24</font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">
And he said to them, This is my :blood of the covenant, which is shed
for many.” </font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="">You
have made Jesus our </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">Passover</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">,
Father (1 COR 5:7), and now the new covenant is in His blood. We
accept Your provision in Him! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:kingdom come.</span></i></font></b></p>

possible to you; remove this :cup from me: but not what I will, but

Father, we see in Jesus - perfect God and perfect man. We are humbled
by His example, and yet more by His Atoning Work. In Christ You have
given us </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">everything</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!
</span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:will be done, As in heaven, so on earth.</span></i></font></b></p>

14:61b-62 (14:53-72) JESUS: DENIED JUSTICE, AND DENIED BY PETER.
“Again the high priest asked him, and said to him, Are you the
Christ, the Son of the Blessed? </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">62</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And :Jesus said, I am: and you shall see the son of :man sitting at
the right </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">hand</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">

The Son of God is turned over for injustice for witnessing to the
Truth! O forgive us Father, for our ineffective witness for truth, or
even denial as did Peter! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Our
:daily :bread Give us this day.</span></i></font></b></p>

15:33-34 (15:1-41) JESUS: HIS SUFFERING AND CRUCIFIXION. “And
when </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
sixth hour was come, darkness came over the whole earth until </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
ninth hour. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">34</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And at the ninth hour :Jesus cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi,
lama sabachthanei? which is, being interpreted, My :God, my :God, why

was tempted Father, but did not fall. Help us in our weakness, too!

forgive us our :debts, As we also have forgiven our :debtors.</span></i></font></b></p>

15:42-43 (15:42-47) JESUS: HIS BURIAL. “And when even was now
come, since it was </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Preparation, that is, </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the
day</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
before </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">the</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
sabbath, </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">43</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Joseph of Arimathaea came, a councilor or honorable estate, who also
himself was looking for the :kingdom of :God; </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">and
</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">he
boldly went in unto :Pilate, and asked for the body of :Jesus.”
</span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Not
one of Jesus' bones was broken, and His body was laid with the rich
in His burial. Father, You arranged this, and yes, you are well able
to arrange all things for us too! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
bring us not into temptation!</span></i></font></b></p>

16:6-7 (16:1-8) JESUS: HIS RESURRECTION! “And he said to them,
Be not amazed: you seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the crucified </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">one</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">:
he is risen; he is not here: see the place where they laid him! </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">7</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
But go, tell his :disciples and :Peter [that], He goes before you
into :Galilee: there you shall see him, as he said to you.”</span></font></b></p>

<u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Here</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
is power of the Kingdom demonstrated! </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>But
deliver us from the evil </b></span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>one!</b></span></font></p>

<u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b>NOTE</b></font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>:
14:37-38 (14:32-52) JESUS: ADMONISHES HIS THREE. “And he comes,
and finds them sleeping, and said to :Peter, Simon, do you sleep?
could you not watch one hour? </b></span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>38</b></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>
Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed
is willing, but the flesh is weak.” </b></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">Watching
and praying to You Father, will strengthen our spirit to triumph over
the weakness of the flesh!</span></font></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">This
passage expands on the prime purpose of the coming of Jesus. It was
</span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">not</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
to teach or heal or set us an example - it was to </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">die</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
and give His life a ransom for many! To miss this, is to miss the
heart of God. Modernistic seminaries completely bypass this great
purpose, and settle for lesser things that fail to point mankind to
the only place of help and safety! I know. I have sat under their
teaching. I came out from among them by the insight given to me of
the Lord.</span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">It
is so important to see that </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Jesus</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
is our Passover! The oath of God establishes the New Covenant in
Jesus' blood! Oswald Chambers exhorts us to </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">brood</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
over the tragedy of the Cross. Though it was absolutely necessary,
yet it shows up the perfidy of the Jewish rulers of that day, and
that of Judas in his betrayal.</span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">But
- this section closes with the Resurrection! According to 1
Corinthians 15 - had there been no resurrection - we would yet be in
our sins! Jesus </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">is</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Risen! - </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">This</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
was the greeting of the early church!</span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">One should visit “Forest Lawn
Memorial Park” in Glendale, California - and there look up the huge
painting of “The Crucifixion” by Jan Styka. But immediately
following, one should then observe “The Resurrection”! It shows
Jesus immediately upon exiting from His tomb - to see the glorious
vision from the Father of all the souls to come into the Kingdom
because of the death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.</font></p>

- Oswald Chambers is correct. We should at times take occasion to

over the tragedy of the </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Cross</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">,
and what it meant to God - and what it means to </span></font><u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">us</font></u><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">!</span></font></p>
