4:24-25 (4:1-34) JESUS: PARABLE TEACHING. “And he said to them,
Look to what you hear: with what measure you measure it shall be
measured to you; and shall be added to you. <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">25</font>
For who has, to him shall be given: and who has not, from him shall
be taken away even what he has” (NNT). <span style="">We
hear this word of Your Son, Father, and take it deeply to heart; we
do not pass over it lightly. Yes, we are </span><u><span style="">yoked</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
to Jesus and His will and teaching. </span></span><i><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>Hallowed

4:39, 41 (4:35-41) JESUS: MASTER OF THE SEA. “And he awoke, <i>and</i>
rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Quiet, be still. <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">41</font>
And they feared a great fear, and said one to another, Who then is
this, that both the wind obeys him and the sea? </b><span style="">May
we be as obedient to Jesus, as nature was to Him! </span><b><i>Your
:kingdom come.</i></b></font></font></p>

Father, that we are so slow to believe, and to accept Your Almighty
power as manifested through through Your Son! There is </span><u><span style="">nothing</span></u><span style="">
impossible with You! </span><b><i>Our :daily :bread, Give us this
day.</i></b></font></font></p>

</font>And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid <i>his</i>
:hands upon a few sick, and healed <i>them</i>. <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">6a
</font>And he marveled because of their :unbelief.” </b><span style="">May
we never doubt either Your ability - or - your willingness! </span><b><i>And
forgive us our :debts, As we also have forgiven our :debtors.</i></b></font></font></p>

6:12-13 (6:6b-13) JESUS: SENDS FORTH THE TWELVE. “And they went
out, <i>and</i> preached that <i>men</i> should repent. <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">13</font>
And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many sick, and
cured <i>them</i>.”</b></font></font></p>

whom Your Son appoints, Father, are in Him well able to function
within His commission. <i><b>And </b></i><b>bring us not into

6:26 (6:14-29) JOHN: BEHEADED BY HEROD. “And though the king was
very sorry for the sake of </b><i><b>his</b></i><b> oaths and of the
guests, he would not refuse her.” </b>The old order passes, giving
place to new. Father, may we always bow and submit to Your Sovereign
right to order Your Kingdom in the way pleasing to You! <i><b>But
deliver us from the evil </b></i><b>one!</b></font></font></p>

4:33-34 (4:1-34) JESUS: TAUGHT ONLY BY PARABLES. “And with many
such parables spoke he the word to them, as they were able to hear

and without parable he did not speak to them: but privately to his

teach us again the value of parable; help us to follow Jesus'
example, and use parables in our preaching and teaching!</span></span></font></font></p>

<font face="Times New Roman, serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">There
is no part of God's word unimportant - but </span></span><u><span style="">this</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
portion containing insights on Jesus' parables is especially
important!</span></span></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">
<font face="Times New Roman, serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">In
1946-47 Mr. George Tasker, missionary from India, was lecturing in
the Saskatoon area. We had him come to our IVCF meeting of some 100
students, and they were strongly taken with the unusual and
penetrating insights he shared on Jesus' parables from the Gospel of
Mark. He had that ability to reach even liberal thinking Christians
with his challenging message.</font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;">
<font face="Times New Roman, serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">The
teaching of the Kingdom of God by Jesus has far more importance than
many of us realize. He called it the Gospel or Good News of the
Kingdom of God. It is </span></span><u><span style="">this
latter</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
that is the </span></span><u><span style="">heart</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
of the Gospel!</span></span></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">
<font face="Times New Roman, serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">Many
have noted the distinction between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom
of the Heavens. Some go into very fine detail on this - but I fear
few could follow such detailed reasoning. I prefer to look at it as
follows: The Kingdom of the Heavens was particularly the message the
Father gave to His Son Jesus - both while on earth and on through His
Millennial Reign to come. I call this the “Invisible” or “Within”
Kingdom.</font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;">
<font face="Times New Roman, serif"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">At
the end of the Millennium - Jesus as Son of Man - will turn back His
mandate of the inward Kingdom - back to God, who will make the
Kingdom of God an </span></span><u><span style="">outward</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
visible Kingdom, bringing the New Jerusalem down to the Recreated
Earth. I find this more simple to understand.</span></span></font></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none;">

Stanley Jones wrote “The Unshakable Kingdom and the Unchanging
Christ”. Bob Mumford felt it was probably one of the most important
books of the last century. I can testify of the impact it initially
had on me - and on several other friends.</font></font></p>
