<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" align="CENTER"><b>FEB 11 - EXODUS 32-34 -
THE TABERNACLE: ITS DELAY</b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" align="LEFT"><b>1. 32:7-8a (32:1-10)
THE GOLDEN CALF. And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down, for your
people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted
themselves <font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1">8</font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">
They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them.
They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it and
sacrificed to it and said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who
brought you up out of the land of Egypt'” (ESV)! </font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="">What
a heinous sin! Israel manifested Satan's kingdom, not Yours, O
Father! </span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i>Hallowed
be your :name!</i></font></b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2">2.
32:13 (32:11-19) THE INTERCESSION OF MOSES. “Remember Abraham,
Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by your own self,
and said to them, 'I will multiply your offspring as the stars of
heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your
offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.'” </font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="">We
see here the great power of intercession, Father! </span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i>
Your :kingdom come.</i></font></b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b>3.
32:31-32 (32:20-35) JUDGMENT OF THE <u>LORD</u><span style="text-decoration: none;">.
So Moses returned to the LORD and said, “Alas, this people has
sinned a great sin. They have made for themselves gods of gold. </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">32</span></font><span style="text-decoration: none;">
But now, if you will forgive their sin - but if not, please blot me
out of your book that you have written.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">This
is the height of intercession, Father. Israel needed this. </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:will be done, As in heaven, so on earth.</span></i></b></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b><span style="text-decoration: none;">4.
33:11 (33:1-11) THE </span><u>LORD</u><span style="text-decoration: none;">
WITHDRAWS. “Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as
a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp,
his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart
from the tent.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Here
is the making of a leader and successor. </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Our
:daily :bread Give us this day.</span></i></b></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b><span style="text-decoration: none;">5.
33:18-19 (33:12-23) MOSES DESIRES A REVELATION FROM THE </span><u>LORD</u><span style="text-decoration: none;">.
Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">19</span></font><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will
proclaim before you my name 'The LORD.' And I will be gracious to
whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show
mercy.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">You
are the Potter, Father, and we are the clay. Do with us as You will.
You are Sovereign, and have the right to choose for salvation whom
You will. </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
forgive us our :debts, As we also have forgiven our :debtors!</span></i></b></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b><span style="text-decoration: none;">6.
34:6b-7 (34:1-28) THE </span><u>LORD'S</u><span style="text-decoration: none;">
COVENANT REVELATION TO MOSES! “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful
and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and
faithfulness, </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">7</span></font><span style="text-decoration: none;">
keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and
transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the
children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">THIS
is Your character, O Great Jehovah Father! Like Moses, we worship
before You, for Your Name also is </span></span><b><u>JEALOUS</u><span style="text-decoration: none;">.</span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">”
</span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And bring us
not into temptation.</span></i></b></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><b><span style="text-decoration: none;">7.
34:29 (34:29-35) TRANSFIGURATION OF MOSES. “When Moses came down
from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand
as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin
of his face shone because he had been talking with God.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">From
glory to glory You are changing us, Father! </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">But
deliver us from the evil </span></i><span style="text-decoration: none;">one!</span></b></font></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><b>NOTE</b></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><b>:
34:28 (34:1-28) “So Moses was there with the LORD forty days and
forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on
the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.”
</b></span><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Father,
we are humbled that You had to write this covenant the second time.</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">The
sin of Israel with the Golden Calf - while Moses was receiving the
Ten Commandments - God's Covenant - upon Mount Sinai the </span></span><u><span style="">first</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
time - </span></span><u><span style="">delayed</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
God's purposes in the timing of the Tabernacle. There are many
lessons for us in these three chapters.</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">For
me - the chief one - is the 13-fold revelation of the </span></span><u><span style="">glory</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
of God - given at the request of Moses. God here called His glory </span></span><u><span style="">His
goodness</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!
Synonyms from the hand of God have special significance!</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Each
of the above 7 selected verses with their contexts - bring forth
insights of significance. And as Paul reveals - all OT types and
shadows have lessons of importance for you and me. Indeed, NT saints
did not have the New Testament in written form of its 27 books
completed until approximately 90 AD. The early apostles and teachers
taught directly from the OT - interpreting it in the light of the
Finished Work of Christ - which fulfilled the OT. Jesus </span></span><u><span style="">was</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
and </span></span><u><span style="">is</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
the New Covenant! Isaiah twice refers to Him in a Messianic sense as
the </span></span><u><span style="">Covenant</span></u><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!
</span></span></font>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT"><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">And
what is our Psalm of the day but 41:12-13 (41:1-13) - </span></span><b><span style="text-decoration: none;">“But
you have upheld me because of my integrity, and set me in your
presence forever. </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">13</span></font><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to
everlasting! Amen and Amen.”</span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
This ends the first of the five Books of Psalms. Father, we praise
You that this Psalm begins with remembering the poor. Israel did. You
