9 - EXODUS 24 - THE RELIGIOUS LIFE: ITS ORDINANCES</b></p>

24:3 (24:1-3) MOSES: CALLED UP. “And Moses came and told the
people all the words of Jehovah, and all the ordinances: and all the
people answered with one voice, and said, <u>All the words which
Jehovah has spoken</u><span style="text-decoration: none;"> will we
do.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Father,
Your Kingdom and Your rule is in Your word, and you are in Your Son
and He in You. </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Hallowed
be your :name.</span></i></b></p>

<b><span style="text-decoration: none;">2. 24:4 (24:4-5) MOSES:
ALTAR AND TWELVE PILLARS. “And Moses wrote all the words of
Jehovah, and rose up early in the morning, and built an altar under
the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of
Israel.” </span></b><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Your
will O Father, is in Your Word, and the pattern contained there. We
understand, and submit to Your complete will in Your Word! </span></span><b><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Your :kingdom come.</span></i></b></p>

<b><span style="text-decoration: none;">3. 24:6-7 (24:6-8) MOSES:
CONFIRMS COVENANT WITH BLOOD. “And Moses took half of the blood,
and put it in the basins; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the
altar. </span><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">7</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the
people: and they said, </span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u>All
that Jehovah has spoken will we do, and be obedient</u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">!”
</span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">This
is </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">always</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
the condition for provision. This is Matthew 6:33 exemplified! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Your
:will be done, As in heaven, so on earth!</span></i></font></b></p>

24:9-11 MOSES: SEES GOD WITH 70 ELDERS. “Then Moses went up, and
Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">10</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it
were a paved work of sapphire stone, and as it were the very heaven
for clearness. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">11</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand:

we see an example of Your forgiveness of sin, Father! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">Our
:daily :bread give us this day!</span></i></font></b></p>

24:12-13 (24:12-14) MOSES: CALLED UP FOR TEN COMMANDMENTS. “And
Jehovah said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there:
and I will give you the tables of stone, and the law and the
commandment, which I have written, that you may teach them. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">13</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And Moses rose up, and Joshua his minister: and Moses went up into
the mount of God.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Help
us learn, what You would have us learn from this! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
forgive us our :debts, as we also have forgiven our :debtors.</span></i></font></b></p>

24:15-16 (24:15-17) MOSES: ENTERS CLOUD OF GLORY. “And Moses
went up into the mount, and the cloud covered the mount. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">16</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
And the glory of Jehovah abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud
covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of
the midst of the cloud.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">You
Father, have baptized us in the water and the cloud also! </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">And
bring us not into temptation!</span></i></font></b></p>

24:18 MOSES: FORTY DAYS AND NIGHTS ON SINAI. “And Moses entered
into the midst of the cloud, and went up into the mount: and Moses
was in the mount forty days and forty nights.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">In
the place of obedience, like Moses, we learn more of You, Father!
</span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">But
deliver us from the evil one!</span></i></font></b></p>

<b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u>NOTE</u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">:
24:8 (24:6-8) MOSES: A STRANGE SPRINKLING. “And Moses took the
blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of
the covenant, which Jehovah has made with you concerning all these
words.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Father,
let Your Spirit of revelation show us Your mind and purpose in this
deep truth!</span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
</span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
</span></span></font>

<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">For
me, this is one of the strangest chapters in all of Scripture. It is
unexpected! In is unique! Who would ever have thought that our God
Jehovah would so reveal Himself? Perhaps the transfiguration of Jesus
throws some light here. It was but to 70 elders of Israel with Moses,
Aaron and his two older sons who experienced this unusual revelation.
It was some 1500 years later that Moses appeared with Elijah at the
transfiguration of Jesus!</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">And
consider the location for this revelation. At the base of Mount
Sinai! We read in Galatians 4:25 - </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">“Now
this, Hagar, is Mount Sina</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><i><span style="text-decoration: none;">i</span></i></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
in :</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u>Arabia</u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">.”
</span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">According
to this, Mount Sinai is </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">not</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
in the Sinai Peninsula so-called, but in </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">Arabia</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">,
where Paul spent the first three years of his conversion, and
received from God the meaning of the 27 </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">mysteries</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
mention in the NT.</span></span></font></p>

<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Some
archaeologists have discovered this Mount Sinai in Arabia, and there
are the remains of the 12 pillars representing the 12 tribes of
Israel, that God commanded Moses to build there. Could anything be
clearer?</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">It
was later on the top of Mount Carmel that Elijah rebuilt the broken
down altar of Jehovah, with 12 stones - representing the 12 tribes of
Israel. And there by faith according to the word of the Lord, he
called down fire from heaven which consumed the sacrifice, showing up
the complete inadequacy of Baal worship.</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">And
it was to His 12 apostles that Jesus solemnly averred that in the
Regeneration - they would sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes of
Israel (Matthew 19:28).</span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;" align="LEFT">
<font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">Notice
too that the Mosaic Covenant was confirmed with the blood of
sprinkling upon the children of Israel. The Abrahamic Covenant is the
chief covenant of the OT. The Mosaic Covenant was a protection for
Israel given by God until His Son came to inaugurate the New
Covenant, which is the time for fulfillment of the Abrahamic
Covenant. And twice in the prophecy of Isaiah - the Messiah to come -
Jesus - is called the </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">Covenant</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!</span></span></font></p>

- I find Exodus 24 one of the strangest chapter of the Bible. It has
lessons in it that are unique, and upon which we must wait in humble
obedience - so that the Holy Spirit can open to us God's inner
thinking on this chapter.</span></span></font></p>

now for our Psalm for the day - Psalm 39:7-8 - </span></span></font><b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">“And
now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you. </span></font><font style="font-size: 8pt;" size="1"><span style="text-decoration: none;">8</span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;">
Deliver me from all my transgressions: Make me not the reproach of
the foolish.” </span></font></b><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">This
is one of the 73 Psalms of David. It expresses the security of those
who trust in Jehovah, </span></span></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><u><span style="">and</span></u></font><font style="font-size: 11pt;" size="2"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
the Insecurity of the Wicked! Father, You are Sovereign Lord, and
You have made Jesus both Lord and Messiah, and given to Him as the
