21</font> And Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived, and bore

not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but Jehovah

are tempted to judge a man after the flesh, according to appearance.
We bless You Father, that You judge righteously according to our
heart! He is not perfect who is after Your heart, but his desires are

man with a persecuting, jealous spirit cannot be trusted. He operates

David, of whom they say one to another in dances, saying, Saul has

reputation had preceded him, even into the enemy's camp! And You
Father, make </span></span></span><span style="font-style: normal;"><u><span style="">even

also the importance of the "Ark of the Covenant" in this book.
Some looked upon it superstitiously. Others like David honored it as
a true "Icon" representing the presence of God. See how in 2
Samuel he made great preparation to bring it to Jerusalem, the city
of David and the city of God.</span></span></span></font></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">This
book reveals the disappointment both God and Samuel had in the
children of Israel. They put carnal desires in a human king, above
insight that </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">God</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
was their true King! When Jesus returns, </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">He</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
will be Lord of lords, and </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">King
of kings</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">.
And - He is David's </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">Greater
Son</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">!</span></span></span></font></p>

Samuel anointed David as coming king by the word of the Lord, the
Spirit's anointing came upon the young lad of probably 17.
Immediately he started writing the Psalms. Of the 150, at least 73
were penned by him! He also with Samuel established the worship of
God in the Tabernacle, and then following his death, it was
transferred to the Temple under his son Solomon.</span></span></span></font></p>
<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">And
what do you think of the 13 years of trouble David endured until
anointed king of Judah at the age of 30? (Note that Abraham, Joseph
and Paul, along with David - also had 13 years of testing!) But
Scripture says - "He that will live </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">godly</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
in Christ Jesus, </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">shall</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
suffer persecution~!" This world is </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">no
friend</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
of grace. Don't plan for heavenly success in this present life! The
fullness of the promises of God await the return - the Second Coming
of His Son - our Lord Jesus Christ.</span></span></span></font></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">I
love 1 Samuel. I love all 66 books of the Bible - but most of all I
love the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">Living
Word</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">,
of which the bible is but a sacred page! Beyond the sacred page, we
see </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">Thee</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
Lord!</span></span></span></font></p>

may wonder concerning the </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">order</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
of these outlines, Greek Word Studies, and Interlinear Greek New
Testament. I believe that the five books of Moses - Genesis through
Deuteronomy, are the seed-plot of the Bible, especially the Book of
Genesis. They are types and shadows. They were written especially for
the Jews. However, the promises hinting at the "One New Man" to
come, though veiled, have been made clear by the Apostle Paul. He
claims that the hidden </span></span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="">mystery</span></span></u><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">
in the Old Testament and Gospels, has now been openly presented to
the Church - the One New Man, composed of both Jew and Gentile. I
agree.</span></span></span></font></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">It
is the New Testament we need to master as a church. Yet it cannot be
understood clearly apart from an adequate Old Testament
understanding. </span></span></span><b><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;">"The
New Testament is in the Old contained! The Old is by the New
</span></span><u><span style="font-style: normal;">explained!</span></u></b><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">"
It is not either/or - it is both/and!</span></span></span></font></p>

I have followed the 54 sections of the books of Moses according to
Jewish Synagogue worship, and the basis of my daily Bible readings.
One can purchase a Messianic Jewish Calendar, and there these
readings are listed each year from a Christian perspecitve. Then I
take the rest of the 61 books and divide them up throughout the year,
alternating them between an OT and a NT book. Dr. J. Vernon McGee, a
Presbyterian minister from California, tipped me off to this. Then I
take the Psalms and Proverbs, and take one a day twice a year.</span></span></span></font></p>

<p style="margin-top: 0.01in; margin-bottom: 0in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-style: normal;"><span style="text-decoration: none;"><span style="">I
do not find this arduous, but I find the Holy Spirit speaks to me
almost daily as I have my daily devotions. 1 Samuel is linked with
the second half of Genesis, and is followed by the Gospel of Luke. I
do not get bogged down in this exercise, but ever see the Lord
clearer and clearer! I find my spirit singing "Father, I thank You
- Father, I thank You - Father in heaven, I thank You." Then I
address my thanks to Jesus, and also the Holy Spirit, who indwells
