 *WEEK 36 - SEP 2-8 - EPHESIANS - THE CHURCH: GOD'S MASTER-PIECE *


 *SEP 2. 1:3 (1:1-14, I. Panin's NNT) NINE BLESSINGS IN MESSIAH. “Blessed
the God and Father of our :Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ.” *Father, we see Jesus at
Your right hand in heaven, full of grace and truth: our Advocate, our
Intercessor and our Great High Priest. He is our Head on Your behalf.
* Hallowed
be your :name.*


 *SEP 3. 2:8-9 (1:15-2:10) VISION MOTIVATES. “For by :grace have you been
saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not
of works, that no one should glory.” *Let us never forget this truth,
Father! Let us always remember that we can add nothing to the finished work
of Messiah on Calvary. We evermore submit to Your way of salvation! *Your
:kingdom come.*


 *SEP 4. 2:21-22 (2:11-3:21) REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY: THE CHURCH. “Christ
Jesus himself being chief corner stone: in whom every building, fitly
framed together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; 22 in whom you also
are built together into a habitation of :God in Spirit.” *Father, we would
progress from being Your individual buildings and become Your corporate
inner temple, a fit habitation for You: for You are worthy, O God. * Your
:will be done, As in heaven, so on earth.*


 *SEP 5. 4:11-12 (4:1-16) CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTING: EQUIPPING. “And HE gave
some as apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
shepherds and teachers; 12 for the perfecting of the saints, unto a work of
ministry, unto a building of the body of the Christ.” *We have given lip
service to this truth, but have not pressed in to ask for its fulfillment
in its maturity. Forgive us Father, for failing to do what Daniel did in
Ezekiel 36:37a, “*Thus says the Lord Jehovah: For this, moreover, will I be
inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them.” * *Our :daily
:bread Give us this day.*


 *SEP 6. 5:11-12 (4:17-5:14) SANCTIFICATION: INEVITABLE COROLLARY. “And
have no fellowship with the unfruitful :works of :darkness, but rather even
reprove them; 12 for the things done by them in secret it is a shame even
to speak of.” *Father, give us a pure mind like that of* *Messiah. We put
ourselves in the way of mind renewal. We want like Job to love
righteousness and hate iniquity. *And forgive us our :debts, As we also
have forgiven our :debtors.*


 *SEP 7. 5:28-30 (5:15-6:9) LOVE RELATIONSHIPS. “Thus ought the husbands
also to love their wives as their own bodies. Who loves his own :wife loves
himself: 29 for no one ever hated his own :flesh; but nourishes and
cherishes it, even as the Christ also the church; 30 because we are members
of his :body.” * O God our Father, forgive us as husbands for giving lip
service and mental assent to this principle of Kingdom truth, but failing
so often to practice it from our hearts.* And bring us not into temptation.*


 *SEP 8. 6:12 (6:10-24) MYSTERY OF EVIL. “For our :wrestling is not against
blood and flesh, but against the principalities, against the authorities,
against the world-rulers of this :darkness, against the spirituals of the
wickedness in the heavenlies.” *Again, open our spiritual eyes to see this
principle in reality. Help us not to move carnally against Satan, but
according to the principle of 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 in a *corporate* sense. *But
deliver us from the evil one.*


 *NOTE:* Highest church truth found in the Bible is found in Ephesians. The
church is Christ’s body. How do you explain this? We are also the temple.
What other pictures of the church are in Ephesians?


 In the Fall of 1945 I purchased all the works available on Ivan Panin and
his Numeric discoveries, some 20 books and pamphlets at that time. When I
read the Introduction to his Greek Numeric New Testament, and that he had
discovered that even the sentences, sub-paragraphs, paragraphs and sections
were established by Bible Numerics, I was fascinated.


 I love to outline, and it occurred to me that if I summarized the
sentences according to this structure, and gathered the summaries up into
paragraphs, etc. - that I would be able to visualize the 27 New Testament
books from God's perspective.


 I thought to myself - “What book should I first experiment with? Ephesians
being one of my favorite New Testament books - why not try it?”


 It took me about a week to come down to normal living again following its
completion, and following the revelation that came to me on the
accomplished outlining and summarizing of this book!


 I was hooked. For the last 63 years I have spent well over 40,000 hours
outlining, summarizing, working on an Interlinear Outlined NT based on
Panin's Numeric Greek and English NT texts, plus the major Greek words of
the NT.


 Notice that the first three chapters of Ephesians are doctrinal: the last
three are practical. Teaching that is not outworked practically, leads to
pride and sterility. Notice that Philippians is a correction to practical
abuse of Ephesian truth; Colossians is doctrinal correction.


 Following are 8 Greek Word Studies that give further insight on the above,
plus provide a basis for *meditation* over the Word - that will lead to the
blessings that George Muller discovered!


 *1. SPIRITUAL BLESSING. EPH 1:3 - pneu-ma-tiKOS from PNEo* - 26 (422)
references. Our blessings originate from the heavenlies, not from the
earth. Christ is from heaven, not earth! John the Baptist was not of this
category, nor are we. Jesus is unique! No other son of man is like Him! God
designated that this pre-incarnate LOgos (Word) should become man through
Mary, and as Son of Man take on our guilt through Satan and Adam - die for
our sin, Redeem us - and Reconcile all believers who accept Him - to God!
God our Father is blessed for initiating all of this!*


 *2. GRACE. 2:8-9. CHAris from CHAIro* - 156 (401) references. Grace flows
out of Joy! (CHAIro). Because of the great joyful heart of our God - His
joy flows out to us in the form of grace! The Cross of Christ on the behalf
of Adam’s lost race is the evidence of God's Joy. And - He wants
nothingfrom us in the form of works to be added to His grace. This is
extremely
difficult for us as lost human beings to comprehend. Like Satan and Adam,
we want to do something on our own behalf to be accepted by God! Nothing we
can add to Christ’s Finished Work! Proud, independent son of man has great
difficulty accepting such an undignified position. The whole NT backs up
this premise. And - there is no other Name by which we can be saved, John
14:6. - This adds insult to injury on the part of man’s lost race.*


 *3. FITLY FRAMED TOGETHER. 2:21-22. su-nar-mo-lo-gouMEno from Aro* - 2
(296) references + eREo* - 2 (4076) references. Because loGEo*, to speak,
is an integral part of this word - God would have us understand that
thisis like Genesis 1 - God
thought - and the Word, Christ, spoke - and the Spirit sprang into action
and brought it to pass for the 6 Creative Days. In like manner, just as God
the Father planned, Christ the Word spoke, and the One New Man” - the
Church - Christ’s Body and Bride came into being; and became the Temple of
the Holy Spirit. And each of us as living stones or pieces, are fitly
framed together as God’s holy habitation! I am impressed!*


 *4. PERFECTING. 4:11-12. ka-tar-tisMON from Aro* - 13 (296) references.
For me - ka-tarTIzo - perfecting - is one of the key words of the NT. Each
reference of these 13 occurrences - is significant. To look up each one,
and meditate over them, is indeed a window into God’s mind concerning this
aspect of His Kingdom! I like to liken this particular reference to a
chiropractic adjustment of the members of Christ by the 5-fold ministries.
Just as a chiropractor adjusts the 33 vertebrae of the human body, so that
the spinal cord and the nerves issuing forth between each 2 vertebrae -
just so we as living members of Christ’s body need periodic adjustment - so
that Christ our Head may find us his many membered body - perfectly
compliant to His wishes!*


 *5. REPROVE. 5:11-12. eLEGcho* - 17 (23) references. See the Holy Spirit’s
appraisal of the doings of the world: they are called unfruitful works of
darkness - and are to be reproved! See how Lot’s soul was upset by the evil
deeds of Sodom and Gomorrah. We can meet with members of the world so as to
witness to them - but not to team up with them in business ventures or
marriage. We are not to be unequally yoked together, and in their evil
actions - they are to be reproved!*


 *6. MEMBERS. 5:28-30. MEle from MElos - 34 references. The Spirit through
Paul is here enlightening us why husbands are to love (a-gaPAo) their
wives. It is because all believers are fellow members of Christ’s body! And
just as an individual cares for each member of his physical body - so - a
husband must care for his wife as a fellow-member of Christ’s spiritual
body, the Church! A book has been written - “Do Yourself a Favor -
LoveYour Wife!”

 *7. WRESTLING. 6:12. PAle* - 1 (2) references. This is the only form in
the entire NT used in the sense as indicated in our text. In the OT, other
human beings were our enemies with which to wrestle in warfare. Not so in
the NT. NT saints are to find their wrestling against Satan’s archangels:
principalities and powers. This makes a vast distinction between the OT and
the NT. Jesus demonstrated this in the Gospels by casting out demons - but
not warring against the evil Jewish rulers of His day.*


 Memory Verse: 1:22-23 - *“And he put all **things** in subjection under
his :feet, and gave him for a head over all **things** to the church, **25**
**which is his :body, the fullness of him that fills :all in all.”*


 *HEAD. 1:22-23. ke-phaLE* - 76 (89) references. Look at how Jesus’ Father
treated His only-begotten Son! He subjected everything on earth under His
feet following His triumphant death, resurrection and Ascension - and then
He made Him to be Head over all things to the church. Jesus is supreme over
us members of His body in every detail! Do we see Him in this category? It
is our Father’s design. So - this verse is indeed a good verse to memorize,
meditate upon, and put into action! *
