*FEB 14 - MARK 1:1-8 - JOHN THE BAPTIST INTRODUCES JESUS*

*1. 1:1 JESUS: BEGINNING OF HIS GOOD NEWS. “A BEGINNING of the gospel of
Jesus Christ” (NNT). *Father, there is *no one* like Jesus, Your
only-begotten Son, whom You have made both Lord and Christ, and the Head
over all things in the Church. *Hallowed be your :name!*

*2. 1:2-3 JOHN: FORETOLD BY PROPHETS. “Even as it is written in :Isaiah the
prophet: Who shall prepare your :way; 3 A voice of one crying in the
wilderness, Make ready the way of the Lord, Make his :paths straight;” *Father,
You foretold John, and sent him to prepare for Your Christ. Like John, we
would do your will and prepare for Christ's second coming: first in us - and
*then* to the world! *Your :kingdom come!*

*3. 1:4 JOHN: HIS MINISTRY. “John came, who was baptizing in the wilderness
and preaching a baptism of repentance unto remission of sins.” *This is the
beginning of having our needs met: repentance unto remission of sin.
*Then*we can begin to live a true life!
*Your :will be done, As in heaven, so on earth!*

*4. 1:5 JOHN: HIS SUCCESS. “And all the country of Judea went out unto him,
and all they of Jerusalem; and were baptized of him in the river of Jordan,
confessing their :sins.” *You had Isaiah say that we should confess and
forsake our sins, Father. John had the same message. May we too have the
message of John. *Our :daily :bread Give us this day!*

*5. 1:6 JOHN'S CLOTHING AND FOOD. “And :John was clothed with camel's hair
and a leather girdle about his :loin; and was eating locusts and wild
honey.” *We too have on the armor of God, beginning with our loin girded
about with *truth*! By voluntarily submitting to testing, we may avoid being
led into unnecessary testing. *And forgive us our :debts, As we also have
forgiven our :debtors.*

*6. 1:7 JOHN: PROCLAIMS MIGHTINESS OF JESUS! “And he preached, saying,
After me comes the one mightier that I, the latchet of whose :shoes I am not
fit to stoop down and unloose.” **Humility*: the badge of the faithful
servant of God! *And bring us not into temptation!*

*7. 1:8 JOHN: POINTS TO JESUS AS HOLY SPIRIT BAPTIZER. “I baptized you with
water; but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” *And *this* is the
Kingdom of God made manifest: Righteousness and Peace and Joy in the Holy
Spirit. *But deliver us from the evil one!*

*NOTE**: Mark 1:3 THE MESSAGE OF JOHN THE BAPTIST. “Make ready the way of *
*the Lord, Make his :paths straight!” *Father, Your path was straight in
Jesus. We too would bring down the high, lift up the low, remove the stones,
and make the crooked in us straight!

God not only revealed to Ivan Panin the foundation of Bible Numerics
through the Hebrew and Greek languages - but also the sentence, paragraph
and section format for each of the 27 NT books. The same exists in the
Hebrew OT - but Panin from 1890 to 1942 labored on his task prior to the
days of computer. So - by hand - he prepared in 10 years a Bible Numeric
Greek Lexicon; then a Greek text tested by Bible Numerics to eliminate some
3000 alternate readings; plus an English translation of this Greek text,
guided by the Numeric Greek Lexicon; plus a Bible Chronology of 245
deducible dates produced first by Bible evidence alone - and then confirmed
by Bible Numerics. This latter placed these 245 dates into 8 periods, each
ending with a Covenant. 21 stand out unusually, and three of these
especially so. Following I am inserting these 21 dates and 8 periods:

Mark 1:1-8 is marked out as one of the six sections of this Gospel. The
Holy Spirit through Mark highlighted these first 8 verses as a complete
introduction to this entire Gospel. You can go to our Website *<
www.2rbetter.org> *and see the entire NT laid out in an Outlined Interlinear
Greek format for Laymen under “Interlinear”. There you can see how Bible
Numerics sets forth this Gospel in these six sections. This manuscript is
now in the hands of the Printer, and perhaps this year it will be possible
to obtain the entire printed text.

*Psalm 44:1-2 (44:1-26) COME TO OUR HELP! “O God, we have heard with our
ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in
the days of old: 2 you with your own hand drove out the nations, but them
you planted; you afflicted the peoples, but them you set free” (ESV). *O
LORD, our God, how great You are! What You did for Israel, You have done for
us in Jesus! J.A.Watt
